South Africa’s former national director of public prosections, Vusi Pikoli, has joined forces with one of SA’s best journos, Mandy Wiener, to co-write a memoir entitled My Second Initiation.
In the book, Pikoli recalls how the current President’s supporters offered him his job back so long as he did not reinstate corruption charges against the country’s leader. The Sunday Independent also reports that the book includes revelations from Pikoli that South African President Jacob Zuma should have been charged with corruption relating to the arms deal.
Pikoli also expresses his confusion as to how he was betrayed by comrades in the party and the vendetta against him following his departure from the NPA.
Co-author Wiener’s previous book – Killing Kebble – was a best seller in South Africa. The book exposed the sleazy underworld and activities revolving around the death of businessman Brett Kebble.
My Second Initiation is available in all good South African book stores.
